PRESS RELEASE- from the Bethlehem PA Department of Public Works Annual Fire Hydrant Flushing Program As part of routine maintenance of the City’s water distribution system, we conduct hydrant flushing annually from April through October in order to flush out silt and sediment that collects in the underground piping. Homeowners, schools, and businesses in the vicinity of the flushing operation may experience temporary discoloration or cloudiness of their water. Section of Park Drive Closed Since Last June Re-Opens

ALLENTOWN-  The Mayor’s Office released a special statement regarding the re-opening of a section of Park Drive that had been shut down since June of last year.  Here is the press release: Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski and Department of Parks & Recreation Director Lindsay Taylor cut the ribbon this morning reopening Park Drive in Lehigh Parkway from South Jefferson Street. Bethlehem City Council Passes New Parking Ordinance Ahead of Musikfest

BETHLEHEM- Last night, Tuesday, July 5th, the Bethlehem City Council voted to pass a parking ordinance ahead of Musikfest, which is scheduled to run from August 5th through August 14th of this year. The ordinance assigns a $30 fine for any vehicles caught parking illegally, if paid within 45 days, and $45 if paid after 45 days.  The fine will increase to $65 if a citation is issued to try to collect the fine.
